Ever wanna try a Sounders match??? If you have never been to a Sounders match, and want to, the upper deck is being opened for Thursday nights match against the New York Redbulls. $15 per ticket at the stadium, higher of course at Ticketmaster.
Except for the first four rows... I think all of the seats will be General Admission in the 300 sections.
The Sounders season is fast approaching... In the meantime, This Sunday, Jan 23rd, you can see the Seattle Sounders FC Youth Academy U-16 & U-18 teams are facing Washington Crossfire at 11am Kickoff (2 matches!) at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland. Come see the future of the Sounders!
Also, some of the best ECS Tifo displays from 2010 season. (warning: some course language)
Crossposting for raincitylady Need feline help! The people down the street from us moved out and abandoned their cats!
One of them has adopted us, so we will keep him..........
HOWEVER, the other 2 cats need new homes. Please repost this if you think any of your contacts might be interested. I am willing to deliver a cat (or cats) to most areas in King County, WA.
They will go to a shelter at the end of next week if I do not have any firm leads on new homes.
The cats are both white short-hairs. Just guessing, they are in the 2-4 year age range. Definitely no longer kittens, but have not slowed down as many of us do in the middle years. I do not know their genders, but neither appears to be gaining weight, so hopefully if one or both are girls they are spayed. (The boy who has adopted us was NOT neutered).
One of the white ones has come up to me and purred and wanted to be petted, so at least one has certain cuddle potential. I often see one or both huddled on the porch of their former home and believe they were indoor/outdoor kitties before they were ditched.
If you are interested, e-mail is the best way to reach me, RainCityLady@yahoo.com.
I am already arranging things for my company trip, so I cant also do it for friends... but if anyone wants to see a Sounders game cheaper than regular season... and help out the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington, you may want to click the link and learn more.
From the article: "The Justice Department's ruling, which affects races for City Council and mayor, went so far as to say partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their "candidates of choice" - identified by the department as those who are Democrats..."
So the government is saying you can't decide on a candidate without a party label. Lovely. So, if this case goes thru, under the equal protection clause, I think that it would then apply across the whole country. Which in turn means that we wouldn't have ANY non-partisan races anymore.
